Reminded me that my first gunpla model was the G-Saviour. Too bad they didn't release an update kit when it appeared on GBF
>>15474062
Would this be a good movie to watch drunk with some other friends who like Gundam? Never seen it before.
>>15474062
IBO beat it for the spot of worst gundam entry
>>15474100
Not really. It's mostly just kind of boring, so there's not too many moments where you can laugh at how terrible but silly something is. You're probably better off watching Robot Jox if you want some live action mecha entertainment to drunk watch.

>IBOtard false flagging every thread because his shit show isn't relevant anymore

The Gundam doesn't show up until the second act, and even then doesn't really do anything. The only mobile suits in the first act are just some GMs (I think, I might be remembering wrong) lined up in a motorpool while some characters walk through. You don't get any real action until the third act finale, which is a fight just outside of a colony that I remember being not that bad, all else considered.
Outside of not having enough mobile suit action, the other thing wrong with this movie is that you never really get a good sense of scale. Not being animated, and not having a big budget, everything feels really cramped by the stage sets and the CG scenes don't really make up for it. The scenes set inside the colony look like they were shot inside a shopping mall.
Like the other guy said, it's just kind of boring. But it's not as terrible as it could have been, for a live action adaptation of anime material.
>>15474579
being boring is worse than being terrible
>>15474062
Stop reminding me, I know.
where's the guy would scan the G-Saviour Full Weapon book?
>>15474100
G-savior is only terible from a production value standpoint, and even then it's not too bad for a 2000s b-movie.
It's tonally and thematically consistent with the UC and far enough in the timeline that it doesn't need to be hindered by the anime.
>>15474062
Why did this have to replace Gaia Gear on the timeline?
>>15474114
I'm actually gonna have to disagree with that statement I think g-savior can hold its own when it comes to drunk drinking is it better option than robot jox no not really but it still has it's good moments
Where it's just balls off the wall
Besides that what are some other good mecha movies to watch when drunk?
>>15474100
>Would this be a good movie to watch drunk with some other friends who like Gundam?
Blu Mankuba says YES
>>15475746
IIRC Tomino never intended Gaia Gear to be officially part of the main timeline
>>15474555
Jesus, are you really this sensitive, fagg00t?
I like the movie, and I like the game more.
Wish we could get scans of the manga
>>15474100
I had fun watching it drunk in an /m/ stream
I bought both novels because they were cheap on eBay
Can't read them, but the illustrations are pretty cool
>>15474062
>Amuro you truly are the G-Saviour
Into the trash it goes
>>15480697
>>15474062
It wasn't that bad, honestly.
It wasn't great but I don't see why people crucify it.
>>15480767
Because it wasn't anime
It was perfectly mediocre and fit in nicely with the rest of the mediocre UC, minus psychic teenager shenanigans
>>15480886
>mediocre UC
t. IBO fan

Get the dick out of your mouth
>>15474062
>>15481986
G-Saviour is literally the strongest mobile suit in existence. Build Fighters is complete garbage
>>15474579
they're called RGM-196 freedoms
>>15482033
>implying
>>15482349
>tfw your strongest weapon is weak as shit and only impressive in concept
How would a standard spray of missiles not be better here?
>>15482371
They could shoot the missiles.
>>15482439
At least they'd be able to stop mobile suits that were hit by 5-6 of them.
>>15482459
He disabled all of them in that webm
>>15482371
Bellri was just testing them out.
