The whole thing is a manga. Welcome to Ark Performance. Every plot twist is a guy that looks like, is pretending to be, or is a clone of a famous Zeon hero. Also the first half will always support Zeon, then they remember it's Gundam and Zeon does something super evil and the Feddies become the big heroes, and at the end everything is swept under the rug by high command with Bright getting one panel to look sad about Gundams.

Amusingly enough, Sunrise didn't touch even though it had THE Char. Probably because this one was basically a new character, and Mobile Suits as a term not being used though. Not to mention actually getting to hook up with his Lalah equivalent.

Really though, they don't have the balls to create an actual clone for some reason, but still are okay with wannabes, knock-offs and hosts for ghosts.
