Seems like a pretty drastic redesign. The feet are very different, the legs are slimmer, waist is smaller and flatter, and the chest and shoulders are much straighter.

Personally I prefer it but i can see fans of the original being upset.

This is competitive fodder. It's got everything it needs to look like a high tier resin kit so it will see a shit load of builders doing them or contests.

only improvement they should do is make the limb pegs longer and ditch the useless ratchety molded polycaps, those get worn out too easily and its not like they even help with anything anyways.

With the exception of the Nu (and arguably the Zeta's biosensor, but that was a retcon and used against Scirocco, not Haman), Feddie Newtypes never used Newtype-use equipment against Zeon. And things like the Psycho Gundam were used against the AEUG, not Zeon.
