Does /m/ like Steel Battalion?
>>15469542
It's good, so no.
>>15469542
Never gotten a chance to play it, but I like the concept. I've seen some LPs of it, but I think it's the sort of game where the experience of playing it is pretty important as opposed to just watching.
>>15469560
/m/ has good taste though
>>15469594
There are several locations to play it at, if you get the chance I highly recommend giving it a shot.
>>15469613
This has literally never been true.
>>15469542
Yea, my favorite button was the middle one.
>>15469542
Best investment I ever made. Shame Heavy Armor turned out the way it did.
>tfw you will NEVER get Steel Battalion but for Mechwarrior
>>15470163
Yeah, but you very much tell that From Software put a lot of effort into it amd made a good game. Only problem was the Kinect, unless you actually got it to work.
>>15470252
>tfw a mechwarrior startup sequence
Hell yeah dude, if only.
I bought it 10 years ago but never did manage to get the right combination of a working Xbox and a place to set it up on until just a few months ago. The wait was... not worth it. It's really cool but it's a little too ambitious for the Xbox hardware. The muddy graphics and comparatively low draw distance kinda kill it. It's an incredible piece of history and it's amazing it ever got produced, I just wish they could have shoved it on the PC or 360 instead.
>>15469542
no, skinny gay looking designs.
>>15469542
Wish I had played the originals with the giant cockpit controller. Heavy Armor should've been better were it not for the almost completely unresponsive motion controls. For me the only redeeming thingt was the dieselpunk world it was set in.

WANT
>>15469707
Except since forever, but whatever I guess
I wish I could find this game for cheap along with an OG Xbox I don't have the money ATM.
>>15469542
Only like two or three users on the board have probably have ever gotten to play the damned thing and that includes Woolie Madden.
>>15473706
>t. Woolie
The original Xbox did have some great exclusives, this being one of them. Although I agree with what this anon said >>15471942 that the draw distance suffered and the game would have been much better-suited as a 360 game... but the 6th gen was the generation with the most creativity and experimenting/risk-taking from devs, so I'm grateful the game came out when it did and on the most suitable (console) hardware at the time (of course it being a PC game would have been ideal, but whatever).
It's really worth playing.
As far as a fun game? Eh, maybe, depends on your tastes.
More relevant is that it's a legit mecha simulator and it is not fucking around.
Like that speech Gotoh gives, you're not an esper and your dad didn't make this.
You're some chump in a big clunky thing and that red light flashing is the asshole over there shooting you and now you're dead. Don't worry. A few more tries and you might make it out of the hanger before you die.

How man Finish people have come on here recently? I keep seeing this everywhere.
