It was meant to be the Delta Gundam, however problems regarding the transformable frame forced the production team to abandon that feature altogether. The Delta's base model was, instead, repurposed into a general purpose, albeit high-performance, mobile suit. I would consider the Hyaku Shiki its own thing, but close-enough for this thread, anyway.

The shading is quite nice, but I'd much prefer if the artist didn't deform its pretty face so much. Only the parts of the body that actually move should be deformed for stylistic purpose.
