Best grunts.
>>15458802
Pic not related?
>>15458802
Technically it's more powerful than the S1 Gundams.
The Ahead isn't a grunt suit. It was for A-LAWS so if anything it's a Special Forces Limited Production suit, like the Overflag, Jesta, etc.
>>15458802
>>15458866
And technically not a grunt, it was a commander-use machine.
This is a grunt suit despite power levels it was a mass produced unit used by regulars.
>>15458926
please do not post GNXIV because im still pretty fucking mad
>>15458802
Why does the model look so much fucking better than the line art? Like holy shit I didn't recognize that was the Ahead at first. It's... It's fucking beautiful.
>>15458807
>not liking Aheads
Faggot.
>>15458926
That's wrong. Aheads were standard suits for rank and file A-Laws units. Bushido/Graham had a customized/commander type Ahead, so did Zinn. They are grunt suits.
>>15458959
The A-LAWS are not regular soldiers though, they are a special operations group.
>>15458998
>Literally floating balls and cock
Who designed this?
I like these guys
The Tieren from 00.
It was basically total shit. Didn't even have cockpit displays. Pilot has to be standing up in the cockpit to use it. It needs huge leg shields because if its legs are taken out, it's all over. It runs on fossil fuels. It's just a big, unwieldy, slow, clunky, man-shaped tank.
>>15458959
I'm sorry I don't like something that looks like a GN-X fucked a brick.
No Jegan yet? Let's fix that.
>>15459579
>liking mint green patlabor
>>15459247
aristocratic taste
This is a seriously, seriously underrated MS.
It has the same general aesthetics as the Genoace and Adele line, but sleeker.
It has the same transformation as the Union Flag.
It has a very simple armament of a high power beam cannon, 2 beam sabers, and the ability to emit additional beams directly from the wrists, either as sabers or vulcans.
It's fast, maneuverable, versatile, and strong.
Literally the only flaw is the feet, but they barely matter as this thing is meant to never stop moving.
Oh, and being stuck in AGE.
inb4 zaku garbage
>>15459625
Zaku is GOAT and your taste is shit.
>>15459625
But the Zaku III is the best grunt
>>15459301
>beam carpet bombing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuVTPIQgMqE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRp_OoOn2LM
>>15459260
Its predecessor ran on fossil fuels. The Tieren itself did not.
>>15458964
A-Laws have a rank and file just like the regular EFF does though, so its still a grunt. The Flag is considered the premier high-end limited mass-production next-generation etc...mobile suit for the Union in season 1. That doesn't make the Over-Flag a grunt suit by the same virtue all of them were specifically tuned up, customized, and enhanced for aces like Graham, the other Flag Fighters, and the rest of the Anti-Gundam Squad.
>>15459260
>Didn't even have cockpit displays.
I thought the Tieren's VR display was pretty cool, more interesting than the standard displays at least.
>>15459615
Mah Nig, AGE has some of the best Grunt designs, even the Vagans look neat
>>15459777
The A-LAWS were all special though. It's like saying GM Quel or the Jesta are grunt suits. They're not, they're high spec limited production suits for an elite group.
>>15459579
My african american relative
>>15459784
That's like saying the AEUG was special too and the Nemo and Rick Dias aren't grunts because they're also limited production suits.
>>15459831
AEUG had to go limited production because they were poor.
>>15459301
This was, dare I say it, a pretty aesthetic scene. Cemented by love for the elf bullocks
>>15459839
That's wrong. They were being funded by AE. They didn't have to raise any funds themselves. Supplies, fuel, weapons, and ships were given to them by AE. Whatever else they had that AE couldn't provide were stolen from the Federation.
>>15459625
t. Jealous Feddie
You wish your used car-looking suits looked half as good as them.
>>15458998
Those things were godamn hax. You needed future vision just to avoid getting insta killed by them.
>>15459784
That rebuke anything I said. The standard Ahead was given to the standard A-Law pilot, they are not "non-grunt" suits. Its like calling a Nemo or fucking Hizack a "non-grunt" suit because the Titans fucking used them.
Bad show, good mook.
>>15459886
Hizacks were used by normal Federation troops as well, but in small numbers. Nemo was adopted by the Federation after the Gryps war, but I'm pretty sure that only meant absorbing whatever the AEUG and Karaba had in their inventory as opposed to the EFF producing it for themselves.
>>15458802
>>15459914
did you like the Ideal?
>>15459181
looks good in this color, like it better than in green or white/orange
>>15459914
>>15459782
wut? you wrong in the head
>>15459915
Same way GN-Xs were adopted by the EFF in 00 after the end of the UN putting down CB in season 1.
>>15459919
had a nuke
pretty good
>>15459886
>standard A-Law pilot
Zinin and Mr.Bushido aren't exactly standard pilots. One is a commander, another is an oddity. Do you forget red GN-XIII existed? They are actual grunts of A-Laws.
Andrei looked so happy when he finally got to pilot an Ahead, late in the series. That shows not everyone on the rank can get an Ahead.
>>15459945
Well, the difference is that the EFF started producing GN-X units for themselves. Then they began upgrading the GN-X design.
>>15459962
Zinin isn't a commander, he's a normal pilot with the rank of captain. Not a naval captain mind you, but the army rank of captain.
>>15459962
Zinn didn't have a standard Ahead and neither did Bushido.
>>15459615
Too Disney-esque
>>15460007
>Zinn didn't have a standard Ahead
What was different about his?
>>15459914
>>15459850
They are pretty cool looking, yeah.

>>15460597
Beat it manlet
Got a soft spot for these guys. They're like the barbaric ZAKU.
>>15459733
They were only doing formation drills, so not quite. Beam carpet bombing does sound like a pretty devastating tactic though.
>>15460691
G-reco is a big blur in my memory whenever Aida's tits weren't on screen
>>15459915
The same way that literally the entire production run of the Marasai somehow ended up in Neo Zeon hands, I'd figure.
I still don't get how Titans/AEUG suits ended up getting shuffled around like that. Give my feddies their mono-eyes, you hacks.
>>15460701
>The same way that literally the entire production run of the Marasai somehow ended up in Neo Zeon hands, I'd figure.
No such thing happened. Only a few Marasai were seen.
>>15460597
>>15460671
Why are the two best Feddy grunts fighting? Shouldn't we all be brothers in arms?Especially when the score has already been settled.
>>15460743
That's a Heavygun, not a Jamesgun.
>>15460701
Nobody Earthside wanted anything to do with the Titans anymore. Anaheim being the two timers they are sold everything to the Zeon factions who weren't picky.
>>15460753Exactly.
>>15460022
Zinn had a standard Ahead, Bushido and Muh-rie had the special editions.
>>15460716
Too bad they only showed up to job hard.
>>15460799
They mildly job since they barely show up
Victory is pretty much all Gundams
>>15460022
Zinn had a commander type, pretty certain of this.
>>15460845
He did not.
>>15459999
>Zinin isn't a commander
Okay, maybe squad leader. He led the team that usually consisted of 2-3 GN-XIII, I guess that's how A-Laws squad usually comprised of.
I'm not debating whether it's a grunt or not (the standard Ahead, not snowflakes like Sakigake or Smultron). It's just that it's not the lowest grunt, more like Ramba's Gouf among the Zakus.
>>15460865
I rechecked and I was partly right and partly wrong equally more or less. Aheads are given to A-Law squadron leaders. The rank-and-file A-Law pilots get GN-XIIIs while the elites get Aheads.
>>15459999
Zinin had the rank of Captain but officially he was classified as a commander unless that only counts posthumously.
>>15460934
I'm not sure what episode to check, but Gundam wiki (lol wiki) claims he was promoted to lieutenant colonel posthumously.
Perhaps he was informally referred to as a commander because he was the commander of that specific team?
Needs more Command Wolf
>>15460699
bellri wtf man she's your neesan
>>15458959
Wrong.
Aheads are used by Commanders and Lieutenants.
GN-X III is the standard grunt machine used even by A-Laws.
>>15458802
Since Gundam Frames are mass produced, are they considered grunt units?
>>15462060
Only ones without the allelujah vagina system installed.
>>15462066
All of them have that system installed back then.
>>15462060
Just because there's more than one doesn't mean they're "mass produced."
>>15462068
Then how can you say that a ting is mass produced?
>>15462060
Zeta and FAZZ are mass-product, but I don't think it's legit to call them grunt suit.
Grunt suit seem to be cheaper unit for huge scale deploying and sharing spare part.
>>15462116
Aren't their parts interchangeable? The only thing that separates them from each other is the weapon packs that they have.
>>15462092
Okay not trying to be unconstructive but seriously just google it man, it's not complicated to figure out/understand the difference b/w more than one existing and mass production of something.
>grunt thread

>>15462678
>>15462353
That's not really fair to say, considering they were pitted against ridiculously OP donut steel Gundams,
Geara Doga is best Zeon grunt suit
I always really liked the GM-II. It stays close to the original GM, it just looks much nicer, while not going overboard and making it overly bulky or packing on a lot of shit.
>>15463247
and Jegan is best Federation grunt suit
>>15463248
GM II is nice. GM Command is my favourite GM though.
Gaza D is good too. I normally don't care for transforming mechs but the Gaza series is an exception. They aren't particularly great or anything but they are easy to manufacture and fast.
Do they count as grunts?
>>15463264
I kinda prefer the ZZ version due to being more colorful
It gives it an extra charm
>>15463247
>Sleeves version
Anon, you were so close.
>>15463247
>>15463251
A man of culture I see
Tho I prefer the og Geara and Jegan
I like the Tieren a lot. It has plenty of interesting variants too.
This one's my favourite though, since it's the first thing we see Smirnof pilot and because a Tieren with wings is just ridiculous.
>>15463525
I will never buy another gunpla until we get a decent kit of this
>>15464000
the sleeves are dorky looking but I wanted an image that shows both the front and rear of the suit. My favourite Geara Doga is the Rezin Schnyder custom.
Space Jahannam is a good grunt.
>>15462060
The twin Ahab Reactors they utilize were apparently hard to mass-produce in large quantities, even during the time of the Calamity War where Gjallarhorn was at its peak of technological prowess. They could create them, but they couldn't churn them out to the point of creating hundreds of them like the Graze and the Rodi frames.
>>15463228
GM Command too hot.
>>15465118
92 is a lot of abrahams
>>15463160
It was intended to be one until it was killing people by simply being 2fast2furious.
