Was re-watching Dancouga recently and got reminded of the aural abomination that is Harmony Love. I get the feeling there were other shows with idols forced in due to the success of Macross but the only other thing coming to mind is Mospaeda.
Any other ones I'm missing?

You mean Yellow Belmont? I'm not sure if his case even qualifies as stunt-casting. He had the whole separate acting-voice/singing-voice setup many later Macross characters used, just that his acting voice was a male one.

I don't watch enough 80s anime to know, but I do remember all those stunt-cast characters getting killed off quick in Gundam SEED/Destiny. Maybe Dancouga taught everyone a lesson.

Fukuda just being bad with money. He paid so much for the music and performing artists that there wasn't any left to have them voice their characters.
