That being said, I like how they established the pros and cons of Magical Girl's world quickly. Seeing her resolve in a world where love doesn't magically solve everything should be fun. This is what happens when a much better original concept is scrapped and the idea has to be reworked. Apparently the original concpet would be more of a battle royale and be an actual crossover with characters from actual franchises. But the authors kept bickering over who should win and Hiroe could never get the thing greenlighted, so he gave up on that original idea and changed it to what we have now.
It's funny that authors would be so autistic about powerlevels as their fans. But maybe it was those fans which caused the bickering. The authors couldn't agree on who should win without the community being set on fire and flame wars erupting.

From a world where people don't get hurt in battle to the real world where people will get hurt in battle, that's a big enough change. Add to that the chance of her actually getting injured if not dead. She's dead if she doesn't adapt to it fast.

Though, the writer for Selesia pointing out that she isn't gonna win without her robot does seem to hint at him later writing in a power-up for her.
