By the way the last two episodes take place entirely into Shinji's subconscious. They mention for a few times the "ImHunan Integrity Project", that's what is happening. To understand it properly (and even not so well) and avoid spoilers you have to watch EoE. Just know that humanity is now one unique consciousness, that's why everyone can ser into everyone.
