What's up with the red-haired Jack? His hair is black in all the raw manga covers I came across, except for one or two where it simply looks like red lighting instead (and on the inside his hair is the normal black hue).

There's a pretty common Jack figure with the same red hair and (I think) OP's illustration on the back of the box.

Then you have a normal black-haired version of the figure that's apparently much rarer as it goes for far, far bigger prices.

Maybe I missed something obvious because I've sometimes been pretty high when going through the Jack manga but I can't remember anything about his hair color changing to red.

Nagai can do good anatomy when he tries really hard but he's obviously not nearly as well-pracided it that regard as as other authors and can't make it look right without a lot of time and polish and likely good references. It shows off more in his modern style which DOES aim to be realistic.

Don't care though, he's still one of my favorite artists. If anatomy was all that mattered boring /ic/ types would be better artists than Nagai, Araki and a whole lot of other people.

I still don't see what's wrong with any of the pictures posted. This is miles better than anything Lazy Matsumoto can come up with.
