If you categorically can't get any enjoyment out of high school bullshit, this may not be the show for you. That said, I'm not generally fond of school shenanigans and I liked FMP a lot. There's a handful of episodes before things get more serious for a decent bit, and then it's more of a mix.

I was in the same boat as you anon, but I was surprised as to how much it swayed away from school stuff. It still has it of course, but It's still a damn good show.

FMP is one of the few series that I perfer the dubbed version over the subbed, I am hoping that they can manage to bring the cast back next season.
