Personally, I thought the decay started after the Bouken mechs.

In case you missed it, Dino Force Brave's GabuGaburevolver has sounds for Ankydon, Bunpachy, and Tobaspino but no Plezuon. (TyrannoKing has it, though)

Does this mean that they're gonna enforce a stronger tie-in with Kyoryuger? If you remember the toy scans from a few months ago, there were also Zyuoh zyudenchis and they also have their own sounds on the mecha. They sure are planning something big with these things in play. I can't wait for the English subs or at least the Jap dubs.

Does anyone have a copy of those scans? From what I recall, it was a bit blurry to read.

I found a video that I'm still watching through. It shows a comparison between what sounds got changed and what sounds got carried over without any changes.

Most of the auxiliaries were unchanged so it might just be because they got lazy and did not bother purging out the other sounds from the Korean version of the Gaburevolver.

I'm annoyed with how they've handled Champ. Like he's only been able to say his own catchphrase twice, and barely had a word in edgewise in his own plot-focus episode and had to be reduced to "I know you killed my dad but there's five minutes left in the episode so fuck it lets kill the monster".

It's like there's a character there, more of one than for a lot of the other team members, but they act like there's no time to actually let him be one.

How to fix Kyuranger. 3 teams of 3, each episode you rotate between one of the 3 groups. Every 6 episodes you have a major 2 episode event where you get all 9. You introduce the first 2 teams in the first 3 episodes, then the second team through episodes 4-7. Then at episode 20 you add a 4th team if you're really desperate

There are definitely shitposts but also legitimate criticisms such as pointing out that he has too much focus, gets all the upgrades, is the only one who can cheer people up or give them pep talks, is a shitty character compared to the others, his catchphrase is overused, the list goes on.
Not to say that most of these aspects aren't common nowadays but it's especially worse in Kyuranger because there're soon to be ten other main characters who could use more focus.

Right got a pass because he wasn't Daigo but largely speaking /ssg/ does not like loud Red's like him. Even Banban gets shit on a lot here despite being popular elsewhere. Right had his detractors as ToQGer was airing too.

Alata, Marvelous, Takeru, Hiromu, Yamato. "Quiet" Red's that don't overshadow their team's personalities are always considered better here but I'd honestly say even then most of those characters don't rank among the favorites here.

/ssg/ generally just doesn't like red's. When those loud red personality traits are on other characters they're generally well loved. Leo, Genta, Gai. They'd be crucified if their color were changed but they're all fan favorites here.

It's just the contrarian nature of 4chan at work.

When you get a character like that who's not a red, they're also not going to be constantly stealing the spot light. I think the problem is that as a fan, you always have your "first" few Reds who you naturally gravitate towards because they were the ones you watched first but the more you watch, the more grating Reds get because you already have your favorites.

That's probably why I dislike Lucky so much.
Since he'll never be able to push Ryo, Sasuke or Kyosuke out of my "favorite Red" spot.

Meanwhile the further you get into the franchise, the more you start picking out favorites in other colors because they're allowed to be a bit more diverse and have neater gimmicks than the Reds who ultimately have to be a Leader.

To be honest I watch sentai for the following:

1. There's a lack of live action superhero shows that aren't WB-tier garbo. Power Rangers nostalgia helps.
2. Their reliance on practical effects whenever possible. Did you guys see that fucking dragon robot scene this week my god.
3. Fight choreography that's off the chain for a weekly show. Seriously some of the moves Garu's been pulling off are unbelieva-ball
4. Costumes! Often overlooked in the grand scheme of things but Toei has a god-tier costume team and this year is no exception.

None of these things are particularly harmed by the red being a mary sue. I kinda learned to get over that shit with kyoryuger.
