If we're talking about just normal human beings and not genetically engineered super soldiers or some shit like that, I would say the infantry from FSS. Like almost any other infantry they job to the giant robots (Mortar Headds) but as far as weaponry, equipment, and organization goes these guys could have probably won the OYW.

The ideal answer would have been Star Wars, but more often than not the equipment specs have little to no consistency due to things such as Stormtrooper armor being about as reliable as cardboard.

Because canonically the surviving members of the UN's Strike Team did get their own demons and suit upgrades. They just aren't anywhere close to being as advanced or as powerful as the Protagonist's.

I mean look at Jack's Squad. The fuckers are so advanced they literally made their own private dimension within the Schwarzwelt to use as their base to scout and explore the rest of the Schwarzwelt dimension by bending the rule and physics of space-time itself.

And anyway, the guy goes from being a futuristic street level elite soldier in power armor at the start of the story to a guy who literally punches a reality warping multiversal Goddess in the face and faces down a fragment of the Abrahamic God.

DEMONIAC suits are pretty hardcore either way.

I love all this stuff and how absolutely well-thought out and detailed it is. But like most things in FSS we don't get enough exposure to it.

Biggest problem with FSS is that it's filled with interesting ideas and concepts that never get enough screentime. And then before we can finish processing one concept/idea a new one pops up, most recent example being Gothicmade. Really feels like a dozen different works compressed into one. Nagano should have just made 12 short manga series like Otomo instead of pressing it all in one timeline.

Federation is so hilariously incompetent, backwards, and retarded it almost defies reality how silly most of their shit is. Not counting non-canon books/games/comics, most of even their handheld weapons are dumb from a simple ergonomic standpoint.

I think the best fighters(Who are pretty much superhuman themselves) having handheld conceptual weapons, they are one-of-a-kind, but still, they are effectively one-man armies.

Well, if you're really into fliying tanks, it was pretty much necessary, or else it'll becomes a fliying energy disposal.

To be honest thought, FFS has a very detailed mecha profiles that proven to be interesting, and highly /tg/able.
