I did like how the series in season 2 progresses over constantly elevation of more advanced GN tech, Trans-AM systems, and weapons only for the final fight's real conclusion to come out between a combination fist-fight brawl and short saber duel between the old 0 Gundam and R2 Exia.

It exemplifies the contempt between the two and the fact that the war is only fought with mobile-suits, to me. It's easy with this franchise to forget that the suits are just war tools.

After an entire series of nothing but BORING, the final battle in Zeta was pretty fuckin tight. Jerrid getting BTFO and no one caring, everyone else getting slaughtered by Yazan the Violator, and the Mexican standoff. Lotta good shit.
