Should I watch Gundam Seed?

I'm still a scrub to gundam, have only watched all of 00, IBO, and Wing

I saw that Seed has 100 episodes throughout its two seasons, should I go in head first? I don't know if you lot are memeing when you guys shit on Seed.

Jinraiger, Clockwork, and Fafner look alright. Tatsunoko and Atom look like they might be alright but there's less to go on. The rest of the year looks fucking grim. I have a bad feeling studio IG is going to rape two shows I love.

No, Seed is legitimately one of the worst Gundam entries. It's incredibly boring because the protagonist is perfect and can't fail. Kira literally gets blown up by a nuke and stranded in the arctic, for a couple days if I remember correctly, and all he gets is his arm in a cast. Seed Destiny could have been interesting Kira comes back and steals the role of protagonist and it becomes worse than seed. It also has some very ugly art/animation because it is early 00s technology being applied to Gundam for the first time.

You sat through Wing though so maybe you have more tolerance for garbage than others. Watch what you choose to, but if to want a recommendation either watch the original MSG 0079, either full series or the compilation movie, or if you want another series unrelated to UC just watch G Gundam. Also don't forget mecha doesn't end with Gundam, plenty of other franchises out there.

The SEED series are a guilty pleasure of mine in they're extremely entertaining, but in a trainwreck sort of way, especially if you think about its ideas in any detail. Pretty much the mecha equivalent of SAO.
