You didn't understand Mask's character. Mask wanted to avoid the mistreatment of the past but becomes blinded only seeing things as he/his people are oppressed. Earlier in the series Klim realizes that his dad sent him to space with a fleet as a diversion while another Amerian fleet was sent to take the Capital Tower. At the ending Klim sees his dad, "that guy", trying to use Klim's supposed death in the war as a propaganda tool to continue the war and Klim gets pissed so he decides to have the crescent ship crash the party.

Bellri was being strung along by his sister and other people's expectations for most of the show, so I assume he went to run away from it. But it's more of a "beat your head with the theme" moment, since the show espouses that one should see the world with their own eyes. So Tomino's basically spelling it out for the viewers.

All of Mask's rage comes from being a Kuntala and feeling like the world has wronged him and his people. He buys into the story that they were oppressed (and are still being oppressed) and he joined the Capital Army to prove that Kuntala are capable of great things, and it leads him to take sides with Cumpa and the G-IT Labs fellows. He also later hates Bellri after learning Bellri basically comes from nobility (Rayhunton family). Basically the entire Kuntala thing is one of the dangerous narratives that causes unnecessary conflict, just like G-IT labs viewing Earthnoids as violent savages who need to be put in their place.

G-Arcane transforming is just a model feature and Tomino forgot.

Aida remembers it and doesn't forgive Bellri till much later after they've been together and after she nearly killed Bellri's mom by accident. She basically takes advantage of him to fight battles, and they know it, so it's not like she just treats him so innocently the entire time.

Earlier he also gets called out for sucking up to Bellri cause he is the son of the director.

There is complexity here which is what makes the whole bit work, there are multiple interpretations based on decent evidence that make Luin a very human character.

No, there's just too much going on at once on a personal level. If you look at it from a political level its very easy to understand.

The truth is the characters have very bombastic designs but incredibly forgettable personalities and the mishmash of the two becomes misdirection for the viewer who then becomes unsure of where they should be focusing their attention.

A lot of Tomino's later work suffers from this problem. Its alleviated in some shows because he chooses to simplify the characters and make them less visually ridiculous while having a clear sense of identity as defined by their actions but the designs in GReco are like having a book lined with shimmering tinsel when really you should be focusing on the pages.

People are prone to granfalloonery. When people can get strangely proud and irrational about what sports team they support, imagine how an identity that's been around for millennia, even somehow surviving the end of black history, can affect people's behaviour.

Is more in the lines that there is no way of the viewer differentiate the Kuntala characters betweenthe non Kuntalas ones, but the series characters can. This helps to show how the whole prejudice stuff is pathetic. If there was defining traits for them, like skin or hair color, clothes or any other stuff, the viewer would agree that the division, as well as the prejudice and pride, have a solid base and would not question the validity of the whole thing.

I'm incredibly disappointed that G-Reco lost out because it didn't lay its cards out on the table from the start, while IBO got two seasons because more things explode.

That one merc Gusion scissored to death blew himself up to destroy evidence, but that's the only MS explosion for S2 that comes to mind offhand.

Nah, look at MAs in IBO. It comes up like a huge thing and then people go hey wait why aren't we focusing on this still?

That is what happens when you give a lot of time to an element that ultimately is not vital to have a deep understanding of for teh story or themes. Getting deep into Gondwan politics would not help anything about the show.

Greco tells you as much as you need to know and cuts the fat, a lot of shows do the opposite these days where everything is fat which barely contributes to the narrative.
