I don't know if CR and/or Funimation or Daisuki are streaming it, but apparently Anime Network have it licensed, and they do hardcoded yellow subs I think. They had Urara Meirochou last season but GJM used proper TV rips and subbed it.
Hopefully some group will pick up FAG, but otherwise you'll have to settle for "720p" and yellow subs, which really aren't that bad. Though I suppose some people feel they fit more with older shows, which I can understand.

They're Kotobukiya's Mecha Musume versions of their Frame Arms line of original mecha kits, and yes you build them, their armor, weapons and other accessories.

They are compatible with everything Kotobukiya puts out more or less, don't know about Shinkis but as with everything in this hobby, if you have the will and skill, you can make it happen.

It's Frame Arms Girl. Which is a bunch of concept mecha musume based off the Frame Arms line, which are Kotobukiya's concept robots. IIRC FAGs are a bit bigger than Shinkis. The anime is basically like the Shinki anime if they were kits instead of prebuilt dolls.

Koto had prototypes of Shinki kits like a year or more back but somehow it never came to fruition. I have heard a story, which may be bullshit but I believe it, that Konami backed out of the deal and took the rights back because they got asshurt Koto was working with Kojima on something unrelated. Masaki Apsy thought this would happen because Konami is scum and he knows it, so he had Megami Device prepared as his backup just in case Konami pulled this sort of thing.

There are some suggested specific brands in there. Superglue seems to be OK if it says it is safe for PVC, but it does not seem good for big jobs, only small ones because superglue does not bond to plastics too well.

Yes actually. Gourai was complete shit with balance issues and horrible aiming. Styjet was teh first successful Frame Arms robot for combat and Baselard was the first successful Frame Arm robot against the invaders and the robot that prompted them to use Hresvelgr=ater which in turn prompted the earth to modify Baselard into Zelfikar.

The ED teases the Gourai Kai kit there's been concept art for. It'll probably come up as an upgrade for Gourai partway through the show and get a kit release around the same time. I'd guess a November/December release if it's meant to be a surprise and they've deliberately avoided showing off any prototypes, or sometime next year otherwise.

Gourai Kai's art shows her being able to be built as regular Gourai but with better engineering, or you can add the extra parts on to make her look like a revised model.

Rumor has it that they are making a Gourai Kai based off the lineart made a while back and the anime seems to be supporting this as the rifle they make in the ED is the one Gourai Kai uses. The GuP bait Japanese companies did was HILARIOUS. One company claimed their kits were made for beginners but it turned out they were ancient moulds from the 80's that are as hard to build as any order military kit with new decals, and they printed the new instructions wrong so following them would LITERALLY make it impossible to complete the kit.

They were picking up a bit, I think, mostly because the quality started going up to near Bandai levels. They're certainly popular enough now that damn near everything just got a Renewal rerelease.

That said, I'd hazard a guess that you're right in that the FAGs are way more popular. Koto probably has Konami to thank, actually: doing the Busou Shinki anime to drive up demand right after cancelling the Shinki line left a huge demand for mecha musume figures, and FAGs came out at just the right time to fill the void. Thanks to being based off the FA line they already had fucktons of compatible accessories and expansion parts, and the MSG line really is where Koto gets your wallet. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of FAs rose in popularity just to be used for kitbash materials.

Not only did they kick out Kojima and then turn MGS into a pachinko game, but so much shit has come out about Konami recently. They are basically the evil frat from Animal House.

They literally will punish employees they don't like by demoting them to jobs cleaning sports clubs and other kind of ridiculous hazing, so you have 10 year company execs who say the wrong thing or piss off the wrong guy and then they're asked to clean toilets and anybody who speaks to them is similarly punished and shunned. They will also destroy long-running successful franchises simply because they don't like the guys who work on the series personally(MGS, Castlevania).

It's because Bandai primarily markets their kits to 10 year olds, even though the majority of the people who actually buy the kits are probably 30 year old gunota. Kids are apparently too stupid to waterslide so you get those fuck ugly stickers for eyes which look horrifying on the Fumina because instead of just one sticker over a blank face, they go on top of a separate clear plastic eyeball. They also made the Foominer huge so they could recycle the GM Cardigan stuff and refuse to change the face since it would require changing the mold.

I have seen all the stuff Japs have done to try and polish that turd and pic related is as good as it gets.

The petitrise and figurise stuff looks much better though, but Bandai is about cheapness so who knows when they will make another mecha musume kit. I think by then they will have learned, though.
