Right now RTA and EXCITE are doing Ex-aid subs. RTA is speed subs with a good quality and Excite is done with more time and has good translations but fumbles some times. Both are pretty good

Serious answer: Ex-Aid gets Sunday morning speedsubs from RTA, who doesn't have a site and just releases torrent files directly to here. After that, Excite Subs releases archival-quality subs around Wednesday, but RTA's are good enough that you can just keep those if you want and not miss out on much. You'll have to start with Excite, though, since RTA didn't start until a few episodes in.

GP is one of the less awful Super Hero Taisens even though its plot is still "let's all team up and fight Shocker yet again", so it's not like it'll kill you to watch it. The Drive/Ninninger crossover is a direct prequel to GP and should be considered the point at which you watch it.

The Gaim/Drive movie comes I think just after Drive gets Type Technic, and Surprise-Future should be watched when they stop showing teasers for it at the end of each episode. I think there's four teasers in all. I don't remember when the HBV or Secret Missions are, but I'm pretty sure they're very early on.

I was debating on that as I was posting. I think in terms of aesthetics Beast Hyper isn't the massive downgrade from Beast that Meteor Storm is from Meteor, but I think in terms of integration into the story and how they use its gimmick Meteor Storm wins out. It also helps that it's used to take down Cancer instead of just some random Phantom.

Yeah, I'd pretty much given up on watching these subbed. I only went to check if TV-N ever did them after I saw someone mention that they did all the extra stuff on Ghost (which is actually not bad, the second HBV is pretty fun if only because of Matsuda Ruka).

By that point it'd been so long since I watched the first Tokujo episodes (and Drive as a whole) that it was hard to get into it but at least it's something off the ol' to-watch list.

No, the translator for EXCITE subs came out when everyone ran a bitch fit because he messed up.

It was the Level X line where Dan was talking about why he went through great lengths get his data of his own death.

Literally everyone pointed it out that he fucked up while you had autists saying that the people bitching were ESL and BR. Then they quietly were btfo when EXCITE released a v2 because they messed up and admitted that they messed up.

That said, RTA also messed up and addresses people's complaints silently for newer episodes like Hiro becoming Hiiro, adding the Y into mightY brothers double x because he wrote it as might for like three episodes straight, etc.

Of course they do. They are just meant as extra goodies for a kid's magazine. Though I have to say that they are not THAT bad.

Hyper Gatack is quite nice. Lazy, I agree, but with some extra budget and it would have been a much better form than Hyper Kabuto for sure.

DoGaBaKi Emperor is actually cool and I don't see why people hate it. It might be just a recycle of Kiva's suits, but it would make sense to be an actual upgrade of Emperor Kiva (as power-ups). But if I remember correctly, Emperor Kiva could summon his weapons anyways, so it would indeed be impractical (not that they even bothered to use the weapons much anyways).

I liked the Kangaroo Medal because it was "dual". It would have been a great idea if they incorporated it into the show itself. Besides that, the Kangaroo Legs were essentially 99% Batta Legs. I liked the Kangaroo Arms for their concept, but the design was shit.

Gaim's Hyper Battle Video was completely comedic/childish. The Fresh Orange Arms was just a shiny orange painted Orange Arms with random stars here and there. It's quite excusable since it never tried to take itself serious.

Ghost's Ikkyu and Pythagoras were truly gorgeous. I actually liked most of Ghost's Parka Ghosts since they all had that individuality in them and looked just fine.

I would never want an Ankh gaiden that takes place after the series. One of my favorite parts of the series was how Eiji's quest to save him left the promise of further adventure at the end of the series. Tying it up with a gaiden would ruin that. One that takes place during the series would be fine I guess, but I've found those to be less interesting since they can't break past where the character was in the show at that point and therefore end up feeling like nothing more than a fun filler episode.

The movie was absolutely disappointing and is probably the second-worst SHT summer movie, right before the original.

So Poppy shows us a schematic of how the Bugsters are organized in Chronicle. There's four levels. Five on the lowest, four on the next, then three, and then one. Thirteen Bugsters total.

The five Gashats shown on the bottom are MAX, Taddle Quest, Bang Bang Shooting, Bakusou Bike and what appears to be Shakriki Sports. So Salty, Aranbura, Revol, Motorz and Charlie are our early game bosses.

Probably safe to assume the next four are Gatton, Kaiden, Poppy, and Vernier, matching the other Level 3 Gashats.

And the three after that would be...where it gets tricky. Poppy says 13, and the Chronicle screen with the Bugsters shows Parad twice, but there's really only one of him. So who really knows, but I'd guess it's Graphite and Paradx2.

So that would leave...Ren/Lovrica as the highest Bugster. I mean, why not.

And then there's the ultimate Bugster beyond that. I'd bet anything that's supposed to be M, personally.

I feel like Kamen Rider 1 could have been a decent movie if it was maybe like 40 minutes shorter. Cut out all the Nova Shocker bullshit and the random teacher crap and you probably get a much more solid movie.

Then again, cut Nova Shocker and you miss out on the bar fight between the combatmen, which is indisputably the best scene in the film.

Unless he's Chronos, his only chances of becoming a Rider are either in a movie or special or something, a cheap retool at some point down the line, or having him take over as Genm (or Lazer, I guess, but Genm would be more likely).

All of which could happen, mind you, but we don't really have any real indication of anything at this point. Basically the only "evidence" we have for him being Chronos is that he's green and a bad guy. (he's also the only character in the opening who isn't a rider, so i guess one could see that as suspicious too. i dunno)

But who knows, with how popular Ex-Aid has been, he could get something if he sticks around long enough.

Having the first and apparent weakest major villain to get wrecked by the heroes come back as the final boss is a pretty clever idea but I dunno if Graphite is the right pick. If they'd done that with Dan it would have been believable, coming back as Dangerous Zombie now, using it for a while before getting Cronos and being Kami da for the final fight.

Though I much prefer how they actually did Dan's arc and doing it differently would have fucked up what the first half of the show was all about. I can't even imagine how just Parad and Graphite would have held it up during that period.

As much as I liked Dan, bringing him back in any real capacity would ruin his character, in my opinion. It was pretty clear all along him calling himself "god" was a complete delusion on his part (he didn't even know about how Graphite had reached "completion" and could be brought back any time, which is a major lack of knowledge on his part considering his main objective was completing Chronicle), and never coming back to life (getting to actually play god in a way) is a fitting end.

I'm getting Eiji vibes from this... I wonder if Emu's bugster infection will flare up and he'll ultimately willingly give into it because it turns out it's the only way to defeat Chronicle.

It could actually be interesting, the final boss would be a game character who managed to gain a real life, while the protagonist has to possibly give up his life in the real world to let the game disease take over.

(I realize it's quite unlikely, but it seems like an interesting idea.)
