Actual Maofag here, I liked episode 4 but only because of how unnatural it was for them to give so much effort to introduce a Pink of all things, other than that the episode was pretty by the numbers, Lucky was obnoxious, Spada was creating conflict for the sake of it and the only good thing was the fight scene. Basically, Raptor was good, everything else wasn't. Raptor was good in episode 6 too and fuck that shit.

But this episode wasn't very good either. Why would Jark Matter need an akudaikan that steals birthdays? Aren't akudaikans supposed to be in charge of local order and stealing Planesium? The fuck with those stock Sentai plots.

The flimsy explanation is that Emu goes inside the gameworld, and the people he finds there are similarly sucked in like him, or alternate gameworld citizens.

Emu in Kyuranger is explained in Kyuranger itself. One of the Kyutamas Xaio gathered was a one time Ex-Aid summon, similar to the Pegasus one (though the Pegasus might come back eventually). Emu and Lucky meet there so the movie doesn't factor at all.
Lucky in Ex-Aid wasn't explained though, but I'm pretty sure Toei doesn't expect people to finish watching Kyuranger, see the movie, then come back home to watch the show that aired right after Kyuranger so the movie probably doesn't factor in either.

To be fair the only "contradictions" so far are this Ex-Aid episode and the Ghost-Zyuohger crossover. And its more about them not explaining their presences than a contradiction.

For one of the dumbest plots I've ever watched in Super Sentai This is one of (imo) the first episodes where I can say I think they are starting to realize that lucky needs to tone it down, and (again imo) one of my favorite episodes of this series yet. alternatively next week is Dance Dragon's turn hopefully Lucky can stay in the background again.

I didn't care much for Emu being a Kyu Globe but I can't lie I did smile when Lucky accidentally leveled him up, and walking into the building to have it clean off the cockpit window.
