The good thing about it is that the fights were some of the more elaborate in the series.
I don't know how they made fighting against bikes intense, but they did.

Great action scenes

I did like that Victory gave us probably the most outright heroic portrayal of the Feddies that we've ever gotten (and are ever likely to get, since modern UC is all Zeon Apologist trash).

The first half of the series had a ton of cool non-traditional battles (aka not MS v MS). Also the Victory's the only Gundam with docking which is used to any/good effect.

The lack of shading is unsettling at first, but you get used to it. I think it was an interesting artistic choice that fit the show's seemingly childish themes. Other than that, Victory just looked great all around with its consistently good animation, and amazing visual direction. It looked like a Ghibli at times.

Boy, was I wrong. Oh well. I ended up liking it a lot, and I watched G Gundam right after, so I had my fill of not depressing Gundam.

I liked it a lot. It had amazing animation and artstyle, Seabook and Cecily were both good, contrasted characters whose evolution felt believable despite the fast pacing, the fights were great and the F91 was pure sex. F91's only true flaws are the boring parts during the first half and, well, the fact that it never received a proper continuation, which is a real shame considering how much potential it had.
