Currently trying to force myself to read through Grendizer but I find it very disinteresting. I have heard a lot of people praise the Ota versions of Mazinger, Great, and Grendizer. Are they worth checking out if I got my fill of MotW Mazinger?

No. As a matter of fact, Hokuto no Gun and Happy Scans are the only ones working on it, mainly due to SystematicChaos being a huge Yokoyama fan.
