I really liked the first villains because the threats felt earth threatening like evaporating the earths oceans, destroying all the planet life to, throwing the moon into the earth.

But the UMA beasts barely do anything that could be considered pollution so far or even even threatening on a global scale and yet they're made out to be stronger than the alien dudes and Goseiknight constantly condemns the goseigers for not being strong enough to face them when ll they feel sillier and just overall weaker than the villains that almost destroyed earth every episode

The thing is that most sentais feature monsters that are irredeemable and OK to kill. ToQger it's the monsters under your bed. Megranger it's demons and crafted monsters from another dimension, Go Busters is all robots. Shinkengers were real people who were so fucking evil that they lost all sense of humanity in themselves so it was still OK.

Dekaranger features actual 'people' in their universe that could be redeemed and get a 9 to 5 job after serving a couple of years in prison.

Basically, Jun Hikasa (if not him, please correct me) was really starting to burn out for what was going to be his grand finale on his Sentai career, so he got booted out. The writers were so disorganized during the shift that some episodes were credited by Saburo Hatte (the collective penname for Toei' staff), and others were shot with only the premise to go on from and nothing else. It's a wonder that the show came out mostly unscathed.

I might as well post my idea for a two-season show I've had floating in my head for years now.

Red - T Rex (later Dragon form)
Blue (f) - Future Tech (jet mecha)
Yellow - Police/Cars (police cruiser mecha)
Later joined by:
Pink (f) - Magic (phoenix mecha)
Green - Construction (dump truck)

Pink and Green start out antagonistic, and control the red dragon. Once they join up, Red controls the dragon and they can form a combo mech with all 6.

Season 2
S1 red ranger dies/appears to die/gets injured. Yellow gets disillusioned and quits (for now).

New Red - Lion (later wolf form) Lion mecha at first, then wolf, then final werewolf mecha.
Blue - Future Tech (satelite zord)
New Yellow (old yellow's partner in police) - SWAT/army theme (APC mecha)
Pink - Ninja Mecha
Green - Mammoth/Crane/Tank thing mecha
Gold - Ancient Powers (s1 yellow) mecha is a team of "artifacts" that can combine.

Later forms:
Black/Purple - (nothing). Gold ranger fries his powers and tries morphing without any transformation trinket. Gets nothingness/void powers. Gets a new minimalist humanoid mecha that can combine with the old gold ones.
White - Angel. At the end of the series, Pink takes the gold powers and gets a new form. Giant mystical bird mecha.

I do get positive emotions from it, but still. I wonder why I even got interested in the first place. I remember first seeing Kyoryuger as it first aired and that was literally the first time I found out Power Rangers was adapted from Japan. I was blown away by how they really love the special effects and fighting. maybe I'm overthinking it.

It's just crazy the difference in both worlds. The dude like Takumi Kizu can get a job like that and it sounds really lucky and I'm just sitting here 2 in the morning wondering why I still watch. I'd love to be in something like that.

Zyuranger is decent enough. Toei did those subs though, not Shout. Kou's translation is better though. The Toei translation biggest problem is consistent.

Dairanger I have no idea. Kakuranger is drastically inferior to GUIS release.

Ohranger is literally just MFC's subs with a few terminology changes thrown in.

Part of the problem with Dairanger and Kakuranger was that after Zyuranger Rangerboard and Twitter sent Brian to TV-N to see what kind of subs the Tokufandom wanted. Not even fucking joking. Those releases got a lot of shit hurled out them because of it too which is likely why they just used MFC's subs
