MacGillis, Gaelio, Guts and Shino are the only remotely likeable characters in the show.
GaliGali and Choco could actually carry the entire show on their backs. Hell, GaliGali even has the naive and highly idealistic type of character that recent gundam protags have. He's just more stupid and easier to manipulate than the rest

Nobody gives a shit about Mika. Whoever says they do, is clearly lying. Sure it was amusing how he just remorselessly killed people without a second thought. It was for the first 473 times.

But he has almost nothing to show for himself at the end of the show. Not even Orga's death did shit for him.

Have to agree with this. Orga carried S1 for me. Him always rushing to be on the front lines was such pointless teasing, made me believe he'll die during actual battle. Instead he got ded looking like some pompous heroic dad.
