It's probably too early to reach huge conclusions, but I could see the show having a neat Outlaw Star-ish vibe of fun action adventures in space even as it deals with the whole question of what happens to your identity upon replacing your entire body with an artificial vessel.

It's probably just going to be 1 cour, as far as I can tell, so the pace will be quicker.

Apparently, during the debut of the troll PV they asked people if they thought it was a moe anime and some folks raised their hands...only for the cast members to laugh and say that's not the case.

The I-machines have human minds uploaded to them. The idea is that you transfer your mind to the machine to operate it. The ones we've seen so far have all lost their human bodies and are "stuck" inhabiting their machines. The same thing happens to the main girl and the main plot is about her learning to live as a machine while trying to find a way to return to her human body.
