The manga it's adapting is really good, and they seem to be playing it really close to the source which is doing some interesting things with the concept of "Before Atom, there was A106."

I'm not sure if people who like Tezuka's stuff will enjoy this anime, but I'm hoping it'll be a warm introduction to his characters, settings, and stories for people who have yet to check out his works.
