I don't, but I think that the dialogue is extremely rapid fire and with the series having a penchant for diving straight into action at any second it can become confusing. Like >>15344758 said it starts getting muddy about who is good and who is bad because they introduce characters and story elements with little explanation. Thunderbolt Fantasy feels like story is just set pieces to get you from fight to fight.

Both are anti hero type, especially the later one.

While Thunderbolt Fantasy isn't strictly speaking an /m/ show, it sorta has its heart coming from a similar place.

Like, Fist of the North Star isn't really /m/ (barring that one Cyborg right at the end), but it has, like, an /m/ Aesthetic/Spirit.

Thunderbolt Fantasy isn't /m/, but it's roughly one Henshin or Thunderbirds rocket away from being so.

Still, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Started watching it expecting little, wound up loving it, if only because it felt really fresh compared to most of the stuff we seem to get out of the Anime world right now.

Wait, are there seriously people who thought the story wasn't easy enough to follow? I loved this series because of how straight it played its plot. Simple yet engaging story with a full cast of cool characters and awesome fights. Also the performances of the voice actors were on a whole new level, I presume thanks to the fact that they didn't need to care for lipsync. They sounded like they were in a theater play. What's not to like?

I'd give my left nut to see more of the Pili/Thunderbolt stuff here, but it looks like it's gonna just be the Thunderbolt Fantasy sequels getting English localizations for the foreseeable future.

On another note, there actually is an English hone video release of TF that has English subs and the original Taiwanese dub (as well as the JP one), but it's only available straight from Pili's website. You'd think they'd try something with a little more visibility.
