I don't see Tekkadan getting off of Mars anytime soon, so I would expect that McGillis might get forced to retreat back to the planet. Hell, his escape plan might actually be a feint to draw Rustal in closer, bringing the key figures to Tekkadan so Mika can ravage them.

In that case, the Mobile Armor idea might actually happen. Having McGillis' plan involve mecha birds melting half of Mars might be enough to pit Mika and Tekkadan against him personally, as well as get Gjallarhorn off of their back.

Tony Montana ends up killing his best friend due to his rage, and his honor prevents him from killing a target resulting in a drug lord sending goons to murder his ass.

Henry Hill ends up having to leave the life he's always wanted, ending up another schmuck.

Michael Corleone didn't want to be a part of his families mafia initially, but ends up getting involved when his father is nearly killed. In the end, his life is supposed to be tragic, not badass as some people would claim.

There might not be any redemption at the end of this journey, and this has simply been Tekkadan's journey to their own destruction. Granted, this is not perfect. The show has given them a lot of narrative leeway and is more than happy to treat them as victims regardless of their own actions.
