Danguard Ace should rest in the dustbin of history.
People on /m/ should get over this crazy idea that a never released/broadcast mecha show in the US makes it automatically worthy of watching it today. There are lots of stupid mecha anime, and Danguard Ace is among them. It ain't worth it, there are much better super robot/semi super robot shows out there from that time period to invest your time on.

I liked what I watched of it. It had a lot of similarities with Gunbuster, oddly enough.

Mecha shows interest me.
The mecha shows I know the least about interest me most, because there is more to learn about.
I generally know less about mecha shows that haven't been translated in English than mecha shows that have.

I don't care if shows are "worthy" of being watched.

This. Morbid curiosity is an inherent part of human nature, after all. Besides, it's nice to occasionally discover a show you think might be bad/annoying, only for it to actually not be that bad.

Plus, if some shows aren't good, but in a campy way, at least they can be laughed at, unlike offensively dull bad ones.
