It's very fun. For the most part, it's an oldschool episodic series with all the pros and cons that brings with it. If you want a lighthearted comedy about a quirky group of cops facing goofy criminals (though it can get more serious in some episodes) then it should be right up your alley.

The only major complaints I personally have with it are that a lot of stuff wasn't really fully explored due to lack of time, such as the new recruits in season 2 not getting enough focus and suddenly hitting character development in the last episode; season 2 having action scenes that ended very quickly and that sometimes had Orange's animation be MJP levels of "kinda too fast" when season 1 didn't really have that problem; and there not being enough lewds.

I think it takes a few episodes to really get going, but I ended up really enjoying it by the end

S3 never

It was alright, second season was better than the first which hardly ever happens nowadays. The second season also unnecessarily introduced new characters when some of the old ones still needed attention though. Kind of like Tiger & Bunny but not as fujobait-y and also not as solid (T&B isn't amazing but it was better than this overall). For all it's flaws I'd watch a third season only because the cast ends up being pretty charming and it was steadily getting better as it progressed to begin with.

Since it's not Gundumb /m/ isn't able to pretend to hate it while talking exclusively about which boys they want to suck off over dozen or so simultaneous threads 24/7.

while not saying why. There needs to be some sort of conversation going on at all for it to be defended against anything, that's not what's happening here though.

It's not from the 70s/80s, it's not Gundam, and it's mostly episodic and largely didn't take itself too seriously which not everyone likes period ontop of all that so no shit /m/ dislikes it.

It genuinely is pretty weak at the beginning though, like a weird knock-off fusion of Patlabor On TV and the police-orientated Metal Heroes. Season 2 is an improvement in most regards but at the same time I wouldn't say that the series passes the "3 episode rule" so I couldn't blame people (outside of /m/, not the hypocritical dense fucks here) for dropping it

Finished it recently and it was absolutely atrocious.

It's a character based show so it really hinges on how much you like them. I like that, while it has an MC, it doesn't really treat him as MC, specially in season 1 (and the openigns are a little tricky about it too, specially the 2nd season one). The plots are mostly excuses to make the season finales feel like finales, but its way better executed in S2 than in 1(though there's a tweeeest in S2 that was so obvious it rolled back to being surprising).

Another weird thing is how the POV character of season 1(or what appeared to be the POV character of S1 anyways) gets demoted in S2 and gets a personality change for no real reason. The newer girls were fine but they really needed more focus.

It doesn't "need" a third season, but at the same time, I'd like it to happen since the setting and characters both allow for more. It has zero chances though.

It was also nice seeing them win and save the day only for the media or government to rag on them. It isn't a new idea, but I don't watch too many shows with it; so it was a welcome addition to the premise. Granted that it wasn't so much a thing in season 2.

Some episodes were pretty dull while some were really good. I had some reservation against the Second Season but it turned out even more better than I had expected.

I enjoyed it a lot. It may have had some imperfections from a technical perspective, but it was a fun episodic series with an enjoyable cast of varied characters. The variety of Willwear designs made it interesting whenever we got to see a secondary character show off theirs, and the casual scenes were as enjoyable as the action ones,

I watched a lot of it at the same time as some friends of mine and there were manly and not-so-manly tears shed by the end of the episode that focused on true giant robots.

I think that S2 has more flaws than the first season but overall it's consistently the stronger of the two. Most of the flaws are on the technical side or on not having enough time but on the whole I think the writing improved due to not needing to spend as much time worldbuilding and more opportunity for character stuff since everyone's established by that point.

I liked it quite a bit. It's like a fusion of Tiger & Bunny and Patlabor with some Dai-Guard red tape thrown into the mix for me. Pickpocket girl was very reminiscent of Scarf-tan from T&B, except for the last episode. /a/ watching the reveal live was a hoot.
