Based on how the White Base Crew who can pilot mobile suits are shown stat wise, Sayla is one of the best pilots on the ship, though her talents were better served as a fighter pilot.

From best to worst according to stats...
1: Amuro Ray [Walking meat grinder, his combat skills are unmatched and his dodge makes him nearly untouchable outside of other newtypes. Put him in an Alex Gundam or G3 and watch him clear out entire battle grounds by himself]
2: Slegger Law [Despite lacking newtype abilities, all of his stats are great and he has a bonus added to his fighter pilot skills, though its best to give him a Gundam-type if possible. If he survives Solomon, he will be further upgraded during Zeta Gundam in AEUG]
3. Kai Shiden [Medicore Charisma and Leadership, but fantastic shooting and dodge, with a reasonable ammount of Melee also added in. If you have a spare Gundam-Type, he is a great user for it]
4. Sayla Mass [All across the board good stats, along with a high newtype dodge and reaction ability. Unfortunately she has a debuff to her mobile suit pilot abilities and a bonus to her fighter skills, though putting her in something top tier like a Gundam-Type generally will offset that issue]
5. Ryu Jose [Generally a middle of the line pilot, nothing amazing in combat, but his stats end up being slightly higher than Shiro Amata combat wise by the end of the OYW. If he survives the OYW, he will join AEUG and gain minor upgrades to his stats, outside of leadership]
6.Hayato Koboyashi [Lower combat stats than Ryu all across the board, but has a suprisignly high leadership level, making him a better battleship user if you can grind his rank up.]
7. Job Jon [Medicore core stats, but still a good pilot who can handle a mobile suit rather well.]
8. Frau Bow [Literally has the worst stats of any mobile suit pilot in the game, if you want to cripple a perfectly good unit, put her inside of it.]
