According to director, Orb was planning to be 10 part saga. Orb the Origin Saga is Episode 1 and Tv-Series is Episode 6 & 7. This depends on the success of the movie.

I kind of think Origin Saga as a thing is unnecessary. The big question it's meant to answer is what happened between Gai and Juggler that made them who they are by the beginning of Orb proper. We get a lot of it in Orb, knowing that it starts with Orb's power choosing Gai over Juggler, and the rest you can fill in on your own. All the other questions, like how Orb lost his true form and all, were basically answered by the end of the series.

Origin Saga feels like just an excuse to bring back a whole bunch of Ultra vets with Orb as the centerpiece, like a lot of recent Ultra side-stuff.

Tsubaraya said they were preparing English and German subs when the series premiered. The series just ended on Monday. Give it a little time.

This is probably a dumb question, but is Redman giant sized like ultras? I ask this because the filming location of the show doesn't really show redman or the monsters near any sort of buildings or tress.

I know a lot of people don't like the manga for a number of reasons, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. The Linebarrel-esque re-imagingings of classic Ultras and kaiju are really cool and while the overall plot/structure isn't anything groundbreaking, it's at least solidly put together.

I like it a lot actually. Started off pretty slow but since around the start of Vol 4 its REALLY picked up. Its a lot of fun now

X by a wide margin. Not that I dislike Orb, but it really suffers from the fact that Gai and Juggler are pretty much the only really compelling characters in the show. A lot weaker on the episode by episode basis too, Thunder Breaster up to the Orb Origin debut is really fantastic but the rest is pretty mediocre

I preferred Orb by a pretty big margin. It felt a lot like an old Heisei Rider in terms of tone and story progression and I appreciated the Ultra Series doing something different after quite a few years of feeling stagnant to me.

X tried, but it just didn't grab me at all.

X also kicks the shit out of Orb when it came to the episodic plots, most of Orb's were forgettable as all hell. Better cast for the most part too, although I'll say that Gai is a more interesting lead than Daichi

Disappointing and poorly handled.

1) Orb is Warrior of Light, not Warrior of Light from the Land of Light
2) Orb = Gai + Orb Caliber's power. Without the power Gai is just Gai.
3) There are other "warriors" like Gai who has passed the test, and are given the Orb Caliber. There can be more Orbs (if they didn't die) than we can imagine.

Still better than Active Raid.
