They didn't. Puru had the Qubeley MK. II, while the Puru Clones, aside from Puru 2, had Qubeley Mass Production Types. That was what was shown in Unicorn.

Elpeo Ple is piloting the Qubeley MkII, at some point she leaves Neo Zeon side and defects to the AEUG (because of... newtype magic of course).
Then Zeon produce a sister unit for Ple Two which didn't have much screen time (the MkII-2).

And then they produce like a short dozen of Qubeley MP (not really "Mass" Production but well) for the rest of the Ple clones which are quickly made at the very end of ZZ. Unicorn's Qubeley is one of those MP.

Original Qubeley is white, MkII is purple, MkII-2 is red, MP is purple-grey.
