That's actually not the same reasoning though. They've been brought up fighting wars and only continue to do it because it's all they know. But bringing in another life for reasons like "something to live for" or in case he dies is pretty weird and doesn't have strong enough reasoning. It's just a drama play, since Mika is a shallow enough protag he's got to get a strange love dynamic in order to make things around him "interesting".

Hell it would have been more acceptable if the MikaXAtra thing was more fleshed out so I could understand where she's coming from. We've got no strong reason why Atra loves Mika so much in all of these episodes, especially enough to just have his kids and even share him with another woman.

Its really not that complicated Mika save Atra when she ran away from the brothel and that turned into love. As for sharing him, that comes from her caring about Mika and seeing he cares for Kudelia so when they meet the Turbines she sees that a polygamous relationship is a viable option.

Its a interesting route to take it but not developed much. Especially since Kudelia was gone for most of the season. They would of did better just slowly making it a KudeliaxAtra thing.

Guys, I followed the series up until now because it still had a little bit of sense. After this episode I'm certaing the writer is really dumb. They could have changed the ID at the end of S1. If the series ends with this it will be really disappointing
