Even with the music (which I love), I always thought this was a really cool scene. Two guys who are technically enemies working to fix a machine that one will end up flying and one will end up fighting.

I loved it when I first saw it, I've loved every time I've rewatched the series, and I'll love it until I die and end up in Kelly's MS junkyard in the sky where he'll let me race Dra-C's across the lunar surface.

I don't know why, but the opening scenes of both Gundam and Zeta Gundam are burned in my head; the two zeon pilots scouting out the Side, and Char floating through the corridors and escaping with Kamille and the other AEUG pilots. I think the nonchalance the grunt pilots had really stuck with me, to the main characters the mobile suits attacking was a life changing event but for the pilots it was just another sortie.

The most incorrect thing about it (that I know) is that using humans, suits, and a whole spaceship to correct the problem isn't feasible at all (except perhaps for fully intact satellites, which they do in a few episodes), since the fuel cost to match velocities with the garbage for safe extraction would be insane.

Some didn't die soon enough. Most core characters had plot armour until the final 2~ episodes. I have this eternal love hate relationship with gundam UC, there are some amazing parts and some really fucking stupid parts.

Watching ZZ currently is only making this more so, but I've gotten past the first 15 horrible episodes. I understand what they wanted to do with some of the characters and scenarios but the slapstick nature is so fucking jarring, even the music takes on a more classical slapstick tone. Brights lack of security and personnel is just as infuriating as ever, so is the ability for people to steal mecha, USE SOME FUCKING KEYS, remote disable, a quartermaster who signs out keys or something.
