In perfect timing with this thread, the new chapater of Devolution is out with Musashi on the cover. I haven't seen the raws yet, but we got a translation pretty quickly for the last chapter, so here's hoping.

I think the idea was that all those little Invader Lizards had gummed up Getter too much for it to separate, especially with Musashi piloting with an extreme handicap

also it's a shame that the Gore and Brai clones disappear after that, it'd have been fun if they had shown up later on(similarly it'd be fun if they showed up as a boss in a SRW game using Armageddon some day)

and lastly I think we can all agree that the worst part about Armageddon was the International Super Robot Army, cause despite having some decent designs for mooks, they were for almost the entirety of their screentime 100% useless(which feeds into a similar issue I have with the Invaders being too durable most of the time), like the only reason I can think why they continued showing up was to be filler

I mean it makes sense, the invaders are near unstoppable due to being a race corrupted by Getter rays. Shin Getter is the strongest weapon on the planet and it's a scientific marvel yet still has some trouble with invaders. Unless you are using a Getter, or are your nations best pilot with the nation's best mecha you are pretty fucked. Even if you are you are fighting a losing battle which is why they had to take the fight to the source and stop invaders from ever coming to earth again.

They were like a decade into fighting the invaders on earth, supplies and armaments were starting to become scarce.

The biggest flaw of Armageddon is that Go is pretty flat and only kinda becomes a character by the arctic mission, and even then it's a far cry from any other version of Go.
