I vaguely remembered World War Machine and always wondered what had happened to it, and I knew that a game called Livelock existed, but I had no idea that Livelock is what WWM turned into. That is... most unfortunate.

Reminds me of the cameramen from Ender's Game. I always imagined they dressed sort of like Imakuni with sunglasses and moved in an unnaturally smooth motion, always facing you.

Seeing this thread makes me realize why there's such a divide between japanese and occidental mech designs.
Japanese usually see robots as heroic, occident sees robots as monsters that will steal our jerbs and make us skynet slaves.

Limb stuff definitely freaks me out. Like in Batman Beyond where those guys got all those crazy augmentations, but all Terry had to do to stop them was to say a codeword and watch as the prosthetics shut down and fell off.

Well, who knows? They love doing "go back to places we've been before" (Ravnica, Innestrad, Zendikar, Dominaria in Time Spiral, hell, Mirrodin Besieged/New Phyrexia was one to the original Mirrodin block) so it could happen at some point in the future. Especially since blocks are much shorter now.

Maybe after Amonkhet we'll see it. Or maybe Theros, or Alara, who knows.
