I haven't played the original game, but Spirits is like portable /m/ crack.

Nothing brings me more joy than lighting up a room with bounce-napalm missiles or cheesing those bastard sword robots with the dash.

I had an old famicom game in japanese where you use a robot and fight against really grotesque alien monsters. I think there was some sort of transformation gimmick, can't remember the name just really gorey at the last level in terms of alien design. main mech looked like the Penelope gundam
