I legitimately hope someone can answer this, because when you look at RL military stealth shit, they wouldn't be caught dead wearing this small amount of clothing.

I suppose you could say Heero's more of the Ninja type stealthy, but most Ninja's irl were covered head to toe and they didn't even wear the stealth gear unless they were going out at night. More than half of the time they would just pose as a monk or traveler and a good deal of their kills were during the daylight hours.

To be fair, Heero was only 15 in Wing TV and 16 in Endless Waltz, so it's entirely possible he'd get a further growth spurt at some point in the next year or two. Not likely perhaps, but entirely possible. Setsuna was only 16 in season one and only a couple of inches taller. It's not until season two, when he's 21 (5 years later) that he's really notably taller than Heero.

I don't think it was meant to be stealthy in the "sneaking around" sense personally, more in the "blending in" sense, given that he was a teenage male and wearing shorts and a t-shirt (well, vest/wifebeater) was meant to be a disguise for him. Not him, but my personal order was pretty random as well in that I first saw Wing on Toonami UK back in the late 90's as a teen and then watched about half of Zeta off Napster because I was what I could find, before forgetting about it for a while till SEED came around, at which point I decided I quite liked Gundam and went and watched G, X and Turn-A before leaving it off till I'd been on /m/ a while and deciding I should watch at least 0079, watching through Zeta fully etc.

I wasn't aware that there was more until after Wing had wrapped up, and even then I was only watching it sporadically and at that point I was just watching what was easiest to find, not searching for a particular order. I didn't care about chronological or production order, and still don't really, even when I've become a lot more aware of each after years on /m/. I just watched what looked interesting or was available.
