But what was shown is that they just get everything they needed dropped on their lap, and had no good reason to have survived that long. What NUNS fleets?

Windies destroyed one small reconnaissance (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reconnaissance because some people are that stupid in this thread) fleet in second half and it was after activating all ruins and getting sudden and unexpected for NUNS power up. The second time was in the last episode when production team completely ran out of money, but they still explained it with with yet another power up (Mikumo singing). In all other cases windies were fighting against small local NUNS defend forces and they were overtaking planets using wind song only.

Windies and NUNS never had big battles. This premise feels lazy, cheap and thus disgustingly boring. But it's not dumb.

Walkure is successful DESPITE Delta, and not because of it. So there is no synergy, and Walkure can continue to exist separate to the Macross franchise.

Walkure is unusual in that people aren't going to buy plastic models of fighter planes just because they liked the music. The music in Delta is really unrelated to the Delta anime so there is no crossover.

May'n hasn't done much the last two years to be relevant. She hasnt released any singles or albums, hasn't done any concerts. Nothing. The last album in 2014 did well in the charts though, and her concerts were still doing well as far as I know, so it's far more likely she took a break for personal reasons than that she was no longer selling/relevant.

The issue is that with Delta, the technical protagonists aren't protagonists at all. That the warmongers are the real main characters. Thus it becomes pro-war. It is just non-stop episodes of Windermere winning over and over, and the only setback is betrayal in their own ranks. So they never once suffered for starting a war.

It's true that May'n hasn't released an album since 2014 (Not counting her "best album") but she has participated in Aquarion Logos, Taboo Tattoo and Izetta (sadly those aren't mainstream like the Aniplex series) or games like SF and mobile. And about concerts, she's currently doing her Asia tour and hasn't stopped joining ASL, ANIMAX MUSIX and I love anisong concerts where she's a current/leading singer.

Gooorgeus reminds me when I first heard Kindan no Elixir, kinda weird but it grew on me later, so I expect that to happen.
