Usual reminder that it's pretty obvious now the way this is going to end.

Mika is going to (ALREADY HAPPENED) fuck Atra off-screen while attached to Barbatos before he eventually dies once the series reach the end.
And because Mika was plugged into Barbatos while fucking Atra, their kid will have a natural compatibility with piloting a Gundam without needing the Allah-Vagina system.
Then on the final episode they will show us a time-skip where Atra is all grown up and we will see Hush training a young kid that just happens to look a lot like Mika, to insure that Tekkadan lives on should anything come to disturb these now peaceful days.

This is so cheesy that I am putting my hands in fire that it will happen.
It's the typical Okada shit, down to the very last line of father figures and passing the values over to the new generation.

And also In case you aren't aware, Bael and Barbatos are sister units and the only two Gundams to have been built by Agnika's father. All the other Frames were built by Agnika himself.
Hence it's also pretty obvious that Bael is getting destroyed in a extremely anti-climatic way because the entire legend was nothing but a ruse.
Barbatos is the one who actually holds Agnika's soul and Choco was too much of a fool to have realized this.

With Rustal, I really think there is this desire to preserve order. The best way I can describe it is Rustal has no problem starting a fire for the greater good. Those fires are preemptive, small ones using the fuel already there before they can grow into something bigger. These actions allow Gjallarhorn to step in and take out a few rebels rather than dealing with a colossal, turning their failed rebellion into an example to anyone else who would try to start shit.

It's very Law-alignment. The status quo might have it's pitfalls, but there hasn't been a war in 300 years because of Gjallarhorn. Meanwhile, a lot of what our protagonists are doing feels chaos-aligned. They're fighting for their own freedom, breaking the established order despite all the problems that causes for the world.

But I think at the end, the whole thing is horseshoe theory. Both sides are a lot more similar to each other than some would like to admit. What we condemn one side for doing people'll cheer for the other. There is no real moral highground here, just a bunch of guys trying to put themselves at the top of the foodchain to rule.

If Gjallarhorn does indeed collapse and it's replace it's almost certain that within the IBO world it too will become corrupt once it becomes as powerful as Gjallarhorn.

IBO's "politics" has less to do with politicking and more to do with examining organizations and the inefficiency within them. Orga lets his guys have their say and treats them like family (equals) but they pressure him to do retarded shit and push responsibility on him; McGillis acts as a revolutionary god-like figure but he's delusional and his right hand man was a maniac spouting nonsense about MUH FUTURE; the corporate Teiwaz is full of infighting between subsidiaries and are barely unified; Gjallarhorn allows corruption amongst its elite while its young officers are plentiful but retarded idealists.

how are they even going to fill 4 episodes? this time last season Biscuit had just fucking died, they had yet to travel to edmonton, they had grazEin, Carta and Gaelio as enemies and no backup.
they're going to be on mars next episode, which looks like a setup episode, then what? are they going to travel back to earth to fight Rustal again? is Rustal going to wait 2 episodes before going to mars? i'm not even sure how they'll manage to have a 2 episodes fight when the enemy really only has 1 strong fighter that is fated to fight McGills, is Mika seriously going to fight Juli in the show climax?

The fun part is there is every indication they put IBO on hold so Nagai was busy with Toaru. He does that show and develops a bad reputation among otaku, and then they make a big deal out of his involvement in the early promotions. How fucking deaf are the guys at Sunrise? This is like an American studio making a big deal out of having Shyamalan attached to direct.

But yeah, this is the guy. Okada and the rest of the writers can make all the suggestions they want, but at the end of the day Nagai is the director. He's the one who is going to steer the direction the show goes in, approving the writing while vetoing anything he doesn't like. Some people just don't get this, believing the show is 100% the result of the writers doing what they want when in reality they are at the mercy of the director and producers.

You're kinda missing the point here. McGillis is doing this not for some benevolent reason, he's doing it because he wants power for himself. He's been doing underhanded moves to gain power since before he was adopted, reforming Gjallarhorn is just a buzzword he uses to get people to side with him. McGills wants absolute power for himself.

Hell, him giving Orga the throne of Mars. You want to know what that is? That's corruption right there. It completely undermines McGillis's cause, and the young officers who rallied around him are completely in the dark about the arrangement.

If Tekkadan survives the finale, I hope Orga and most of the older pilots who keep on pushing him to take action are no longer part of it, either through death or retirement. Eugene can be the new leader, advised by Yukinojo, Merribit the accountant guy and smart kid who keeps on complaining about how they're on a suicide mission. Would not mind if they showed McGillis faction lose, as long as they implied that it was the first major rebellion that spawned multiple uprisings against Gjallajorn, with people now regularly using Dainself's and other forbidden tech from the Calamity War, now that its clear that Gjallajorn will use them anyway. Could even be a tie-in to a sequel series (which is hopefully much more interesting and done with a different director/staff entirely)

Tbh, I don't really care so much for McGillis, as for his faction to win. As long as they can remove the Seven Stars from power entirely, then it would have been worth it. I see it somewhat like Robbespierre vs. Louis XVI. Even if he goes powermad, at least he's getting rid of the feudal aristocrats holding back the rest of society. Even wouldn't mind McGillis dying in battle, so long as the movement he started keeps on going to either purge or overthrow Gjallajorn.
