That's not how the whole thing is framed though. It's made very clear that Carta is a chore to interact with for basically everybody. And that's also the way it comes of when Gaelio tells Ein, that he'd even grovel to that woman, if it meant stopping Tekkadan.

We never see him interact with her boytoys or even bring up anything but work. Which makes the obvious conclusion: "I like Carta. But I wouldn't want to be stuck with her in an elevator."

Which in theory is not a problem. Hell, it could be a massive pro if handled correctly. I'd say though one of the bigger problems with IBO is that it's unsure of where exactly Tekkadan stand, resulting in the old chestnut that the show has it's cake and wants to eat it too. The show wants to have this darker group of protagonists, but it is also enamored with them and tilts the narrative heavily in their favor.

Usual reminder that it's pretty obvious now the way this is going to end.

Mika is (HAS ALREADY) going to fuck Atra off-screen while attached to Barbatos before he eventually dies once the series reach the end.
And because Mika was plugged into Barbatos while fucking Atra, their kid will have a natural compatibility with piloting a Gundam without needing the Allah-Vagina system.
Then on the final episode they will show us a time-skip where Atra is all grown up and we will see Hush training a young kid that just happens to look a lot like Mika, to insure that Tekkadan lives on should anything come to disturb these now peaceful days.

This is so cheesy that I am putting my hands in fire that it will happen.
It's the typical Okada shit, down to the very last line of father figures and passing the values over to the new generation.

And also In case you aren't aware, Bael and Barbatos are sister units and the only two Gundams to have been built by Agnika's father. All the other Frames were built by Agnika himself.
Hence it's also pretty obvious that Bael is getting destroyed in a extremely anti-climatic way because the entire legend was nothing but a ruse.
Barbatos is the one who actually holds Agnika's soul and Choco was too much of a fool to have realized this.

Choco still lives this episode. Monkey is dead though.

So, I actually don't think so. While we didn't see McGillis with AV until just recently, Gjallarhorn would probably have the tech to redo the AV surgery and/or improve on it. His unit is also super low-profile compared to the Tekkadan whiskers, and we never saw McGillis without a shirt. McGillis developing AV, and having a port the entire time, would go a long way to explaining his performance in the Grimgerde compared to the Graze Ritter in S2. In particular, I'm thinking of the Grimgerde's initial sortie where Mika remarks that Chooc is sugoi because he can keep up with him.

He correctly observed that Mika was piloting Barbatos like it was his human body, and then noted Mika's body wouldn't have a backpack thruster and that it was a blind spot. Not really. Someone rechecked the JP translation, apparently all it says is that Kimaris Vidar's form was confirmed to have been used during the Calamity War era. Seeing as how all three have different specializations, the most likely explanation is that they're all official Calamity War-era equipment that were meant to be used interchangeably depending on the type of mobile armor being fought. KV went unused by Gaelio during S1 probably because its primary equipment is a Dainsleif-equipped weapon that was banned. Also, Trooper had a pair of unused "Multi-slot Accelerator" equipment hidden in its chest. It was hinted to be some sort of banned destructive Calamity War-era weaponry like the Dainsleif, so the Trooper form is definitely not some "newage junk".
