While they're fairly distinct from mecha designs in most other settings, the TSF in MuvLuv look entirely too much alike. Every time I see someone post that chart of all the different variants, it looks to me like a chart of Eva Unit 01's possible evolutions depending on which fighter plane you feed it.

Given how people on this board can pick out specific MS variations based on things like slant of the chest grill and angle of the V-fin, I have to believe that the designs are substantially different, but I can't figure it out myself.
