Am I only one who watches this series and enjoys it? By the way, it was licensed long ago, yet neither dub nor sub is found online. You know what to do, /m/.
>>
>>15277452
Shit's fun. I remember always wanting our school to transform as HQ when I was a kid.
>>
English DVDs rips when, /m/?
>>
>>15277452
>>15277739
Honestly you're better off just taking the official english subs and adding them to the blu ray rips. SilverCastle subbed the three episode OVA on youtube, it'd be nice if someone did the same for those subs so they don't vanish into the ether when the whole thing is inevitably taken down for copyright claims.
>>
>>15277452
>>15277739
There aren't any rips yet because nobody wants to tread on Anime Midstream since they're such a small company. Now that they have a new project in the pipeline and have likely gotten every sale of Raijin-Oh they're gonna get it probably won't take much longer though.
>>
>>15277912
*waits for the official subs*
>>
>>15277912
>Now that they have a new project in the pipeline
any idea what that project might be?
>>
>>15277955
Speaking of official subs, the ones for "Idol Master: Xenoglossia" are nowhere to be found either...
>>
>>15277970
Bt'X license rescue, I think they're doing a new dub too.
>>
>>15278003
That one doesn't even have any excuse, especially since the only subs we got online are still the adequate, yet clumsy fansubs.
>>
The first ten or so episodes can be found on IRC. I hope you enjoy the horrendous dub, because it's dub-only.
>>
>>15277452
I enjoyed it. The cast was fun, they managed to keep the MOTW diverse enough through the series.

>>15277838
The BD rips out there are overly degrained, it really needs a new encode.

>>15278127
The DVDs are dual audio for the first 5 volumes (ep 1-25), the rests Japanese audio only.
>>
>>15278127
I liked the dub despite the lack of professionalism, it was kind of like a very good fandub (because that's basically what it is)
>>
>>15278127
>>15278223
Besides, they had actual schoolkids doing the kids (explaining the delays between volumes, since they had schedules to attend to).
>>
>>15278454
Did they also sing the ending theme in English?
>>
>>15278127
Can anyone give links?
>>
>>15279158
No, unfortunately. Guess they couldn't get an audioless source to use.
>>
>>15277955
Just cough up some bucks and buy it, man.
>>
>>15277452
I love when MC kid shout titular robo on SRWOE
>>
>>15278127

>>
>>15280569
Thanks. Can anyone upload the rest of the episodes with the official subs (the same goes for Xenoglossia too)?
>>
The dub idn't that bad (if you forget about the original voices, of course).
>>
>>15281235
>Xenoglossia
Check BakaBT
>>
>>15283454
There is no official subs and DVD specials on BakaBt, only the DVDrip with the fansubs.
>>
Can anyone upload at least the raws on an anime streaming site like animerush? The one I watched the series on has been shut down recently.
>>
>>15284653
>uses streaming sites instead of torrents

lol
>>
>>15285223
It's because I watch anime on my ios device and not on pc most of the time.
>>
>>15281235
the same request
>>
Watching anime raw is nice and all but how much longer do I have to wait?!
*is waiting for the whole series upload*
>>
>>15277452
I like how the series is a polar opposite of other long mecha anime of its time: children instead of trained soldiers, an ordinary school instead of an evil secret organisation that uses them, lots of humor instead of madness.
>>
Where are you, uploaders?
>>
>>15292754
Nobody wants to rip it since Anime Midstream is like three dudes total. It's considered bad form, since they're pretty chill dudes doing this mostly out of pocket from what I've heard.
>>
Just in case if anyone's thinking about getting the DVDs: buying from RightStufAnime is cheaper than from Amazon.

USD 149.94 http://www.rightstufanime.com/search?keywords=Raijin%20Oh
USD 199.94 https://smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Raijin+Oh+DVD

Honestly, this isn't a bad deal - You can get 20 hours of entertainment at the price of 5~6 pans of pizza!

I'll comment about the quality of dubbing and subtitles when my copy arrives.
>>
>>15292754
>>15292797
Honestly, it'd be better to spend the energy on the BCI Eclipse set of Super Robot Red Baron, that distributor has been long dead and got their corpse pillaged by Mill Creek.
>>
>>15292797
See>>15277912

>>15292881
Don't forget to upload rips.
>>
Can anyone upload the vocal albums either in flac or 320k mp3? All torrents with losless versions of the vocal albums are dead. DDLs are only on those password-protected Chinese forums you have to write an essay to be allowed to register. I've only found 128k rips on ffshrine. Any help, /m/?

>>15297989

I guess not many people use BakaBT...
>>

Thank you! If only someone could upload the series itself....

A slight translation fail... Still, it's fixed after the 3rd DVD. I like the dub, but the subtitles are nitpick-able.
>>
>>15299325
In fairness, it is Midstream's first title.
>>
>>15299357
Yeah but volume 1 and 2 received reprints several years after their initial run sold out with changes to packaging, disc art and DVD menu. That typo as well as the audio channel issue with volume 1 weren't fixed.
>>
>>15299325
Isn't the right translation "There are too many things I want to do"?

Yeh, you're right. While I see how did they come out with that translation, that was a big fail.

But I don't see how for this one: "intimidating door" in place of "emergency door/exit)
>>
>>15301276
I know how: they used a fan translation of the song!

I can finally watch the series subbed! *waits for the second approval*

>>15305375
I have the same question.
>>
>To protect the initial swarm you have to wait 27 hours and 1 min until you may download this torrent.
Are you crazy, Baka!? I guess you are.
>>
No, I'm not really into any mecha anime that does not resemble Yuusha/Eldran series or Medarot. But the DVDs for that series are less than $100 in total, so it really isn't too much.

>>15310203
The primary reason I wait for the approval from BBT is to find if I messed something up or not. So, here you go: https://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=907577
>>
>>15310374
Is the audio supposed to play in only one ear?

Yeah, English dubs in earlier episodes have problems.

I do have the BD rips - anyone is interested to mux them?

Playback issues. Audio doesn't work properly either. I have updated my K-lite codec pack, but it didn't help. What is wrong?
>>
>h264, yuv444p10le
The problem is that yuv444p10le, no software can play it. Can you reincode the series?
>>
>>15314937
Are you sure you're using the latest ver of MPC-HC with default codec settings? My installation of mpc-hc plays the file happily
>>
>>15315486
I followed your advice and installed the latest MPC-HC with default settings but the result was the same. Then I installed K-lite back but with default settings but still no change.
>>
>>15315590
Moreover, your file looks strange. Episode 1 is not 2:37:04... Does the CRC match?
>>
>>15315608
For some reason all my players assume the episodes are that long and cannot play them correctly. I think it's because of the encoding. Usually everything plays smothly but when it comes to these yuv444p10le...
>>
>>15316013
I simply lazily copied that from the encoder's output. It means that the video is encoded in h264 10 bits, with full-size color plane, using 10 bits version of x264. If your player isn't reading the duration correctly, the most probable chance is that your files are corrupt. Try downloading the file from here: https://mega.nz/#!elABEBaA!hIB-YLdr2s-_16Tg1EbVrm1S8mhwe0gmmTYIlI5aLKE
>>
>>15301276
The translation is fixed from episode 26 onwards.

I wasn't aware that the full thing was licensed. As a buyfag, I'm tempted to track it down. Watch each set be like $400 a piece.
I've never paid Eldoran too much attention, is it pretty much just notYuusha? Don't get me wrong, I fucking love the Brave series, but having seen all of those and the Jap-only Transformers, I might get burned out if it's too derivative and I don't want to drop money and time on a rare show if it's just more generic kiddy go go robo toy commercial fare that doesn't do anything noteworthy. Granted, if it's really fun, it doesn't matter, but I've noticed with shows like this that there's a fine line between being fun as hell (FighBird) and being a fucking chore to slog through (Exkaiser),
>>
>>15326210
It's a little different; basically, each team of kids is assigned by not-Ultraman to pilot a combiner robot, whose components are not sentient in the slightest. The first and the last shows focus on the students themselves to varying degrees, while Ganbaruger is a lot more comedy-focused and Sun Vulcan/Kakuranger-esque. Gosaurer also preceded GGG in dealing with a machine empire.
>>
>>15326210
>a fucking chore to slog through (Exkaiser)
I couldn't agree more. I managed to watch only ten or so episodes because the characters weren't charismatic and only behaved according to their roles in the series. They were worse than harem girls!

>>15326527
Yeah, the characters, and well, pretty much everything about Exkaiser were as bland as it gets and the whole thing feels like an opportunistic Transformers cash-in with the only real effort being put into some of the reusable animation bits. But cool recycled animation in a Sunrise robot show is such a universal constant that it's not even worth mentioning. It really isn't until FighBird that Yuusha kind of comes into it's own and starts doing it's own thing while still having the classic feel of the genre.

I wish Baan Gaan was an actual show so hard. At least we got cool model kits that I'll never ever buy.
>>
The Eldran shows are too kiddy for me. I fast forward past the schoolkid hijinks and when the robits show up I watch that shit hard
>>
>>15328066
Each to their own but Gosaurer is comfy as fuck and has Professor, who is amazing

The school stuff is what makes the shows I think.
