The game last for a bit longer than 3 years, and only limited to a few phone providers. Game itself has gone stale after the first major update, which is 6 months after its launch date. It has its own story like X-Omega, but no big surprises till the end of 2014. In 2015 there were already rumors saying something will be replacing the game. At the end there was a boss rush event wrapping up the game for good.

I can give you a list of every game that didn't have Shin Getter.
The first three games, MX, Z1 (only went up to Getter G), NEO (New Getter only, and it's just a redesign of vanilla Getter) and games that don't have Getter at all. That's it.

Shin Getter-1 still doesn't have an attack that involves the other forms mutating out of Getter-1 and attacking.

SC2's SEED was straight
Z1's SEED had everyone along for the ride
K's SEED had Shinn and friends playing villain music while shopping and the one and only time that Cagalli got to be in the Akatsuki and kick ass. Not to mention that it brought Stargazer along.
L's SEED had Kira and Shinn being best friends without having to fight each other
UX's SEED was Shinn and Luna being Fafner characters while Athrun was solving politics off screen
V's SEED had Kira/Athrun/Shinn solving some of issues with Cross Ange girls bitching at each other since they basically did the same thing before in canon.

Meanwhile D and Z2 are the only games that even did the Armageddon plot properly instead of it being the Ryouma show with everyone else being his power ups. I'd gladly take more SEED if they continue doing what they're doing with it.
