Trouble is, the subs are just the dub script which took a few liberties. It's obvious with the sub when there's subs for added lines from the dub on-screen when no-one's saying shit in Japanese.

Yes, yes it does. But don't get your hopes up. This world is not fair. It seems not even Avex Mode lists this series in their licenses anymore, so forget about even a re-release. Who knows who has the rights for it these days.

Even that won't solve the problem. Witness Metal Armor Dragonar. It was subbed in italian since god knows when, and yet in english we're still not even half way through. At this pace it is going to take more than one decade to have it finished. So even if the italians or spanish somehow subbed Cyborg 009 it is going to take a freakishly long time to have it in english if at all. So your best bet is to learn japanese and download the raws.

Not just that- an anon here uploaded his english dubbed collection of the 2001 series and it had up to episode 48 I belive. Problem was after episode 25 quality began to vary- episode 38 being the worst iirc
