Why Kamille is the best Gundam protagonist?

While Kamille is my absolute favorite MC in all of Gundam, I feel the reason for this is because out of all the MCs, he starts off at the worst position possible. He skips classes, ignores his only friend, resorts to violence towards even men of high authority for the most petty reasons, has a shitty family, and almost killed a guy in the couple first episodes while laughing his ass off. He was an absolute mess so I guess it was pretty easy to turn him into a good man by the end of the series because he started off that bad.

I'm watching Gundam for the first time in release order, so I don't have a lot of protagonists to compare him to but I do find his loveable autism makes him more interesting than Amuro who was just kind of bland.

Because he routinely kills named villain characters. Amuro and Judau do too, though both seem more introspective about it. Camille maybe not so much.

He starts off extremely annoying then they kick him to the curb when amuro shows up. While amuro is taking charge he matures and character develops magically and he's not annoying anymore.
