Since The anime is way more action like while the latter is more of a mature story, which is Something netflix originals are known for

Doesn't sounds at all like a new project to me, sounds like it's just a stream of 1972 Devilman. Since that has never had a TV release in major English language territories you can count on it being labelled a 'Netflix Original'.
