Only watched Early UC so far so here is my ratings of that. Thunderbolt and The Origin aren't done yet so I haven't rated them but they are looking good so far. Have you casuals not even seen the tragedy that is MsIgloo though? Had to give that it's own tier.

For me it was the space arc being a couple episodes too long, and them following the same formula every arc. Exposition, build up, two part battle, conclusion. Plus Kudelia being angsty about being useless, finding her purpose, then being angsty again for being useless.

Not the person you're replying to but it's divorced from the hard science, the political drama and the real robot traits that made Gundam what Gundam is.

That it's more popular than 08th MS Team, a show that tried to be a real as possible with its depiction of grunt on grunt combat, is a disgrace. It's kiddyshit trash and is responsible for introducing the super robot elements that have led to the franchises decline.

Fuck Sunrise and fuck Imagawa for letting it exist.

Incorrect, I said reconguista is awful. Things in the bad category all have some redeeming qualities, for example 00 has great looking robots a lot of really good action, as does Zeta, Try and even sometimes AGE.

Reconguista is just a huge pile of mistakes, which were almost certainly due to Tomino dramatically overestimating his abilities as a writer and director, when he's really an ideas man and sucks shit at execution.
