The new Pink hair girl is a crossbell resident, who dreamed of being a police officer but got her dream cut short by the Empire's occupation. But she still wants to maintain law and order so she joined the second Thors Academy.
That new Silver haired guy who wields twin swords is Mueller's little brother.
Then you have Atlina.

So those are the four starting characters with Rean still being the central/main character.

And even then after the fights end the credits roll and you're given the option of New Game + or just leaving off and starting a fresh game. There is no after game exploration and pissing about with your end game powers to find hidden content. Which is actually pretty rare in an RPG from my experience. It's done because the first game ends with a lot of plot hanging and setting up for a sequel, so having you arse about would be kind of weird with that I suppose. It's kind of nice really. That said, the lack of end game monsters to level up with or any kind of world map with higher level enemies on the outskirts where you don't visit during the story does rankle and makes getting higher levels a really obnoxious grind.

Man, why is there so much Rean x Crow in CS2? And considering everybody else at Class VII have their bonding scenes optional while Rean interacts a lot with Crow, it makes me think Rean was supposed to be a woman.

Like the game is pretty much Rean trying to make up with his boyfriend Crow and shit.

The first fight with her and McBurn doesn't really make any sense personally. You could take her down before McBurn kills off all of you and McBurn goes "what the fuck you doing bitch? I thought you beat Loewe?"

I'll give her the second part since she just got back from Crossbell and even your party members remark that she seemed a bit weaker than normal. But yeah, it's still a fucking asspull what she did at Infernal Castle.
