I wish they had put like, you know, any effort at all into making the base look less stupid. Tone the lighting down a little bit, make it at least appear like there might be some sort of ceiling up there. I know sentai can do this, they've done it in the past, but for some reason they've just chosen not to this time. Its not money because having fewer stage lights on or painting the set a darker color costs nothing. The main room itself is bigger because they need room for 10+ people to be there at once but they could have done a better job of maintaining the feeling that its actually a spaceship.

Yasuhiko Imai wasn't credited this episode, which is weird because he was announced as the suit actor for Sasori Orange.

What we can see is that some guy named Shigeki Ito (circled in red) has second billing for suits behind Masashi Takada (suit actor for Shishi Red). Presumably this means he was filling in for Imai as Orange for some reason, as on the JAE wesite credits, he's been pushed far down the billing for episodes 4 and 5 with Imai returning for the latter.

Was Imai injured during Zyuohger or something? I hadn't seen any news articles so I'm curious as to what happened.

Additionally, while it hasn't been announced, Yuichi Hachisuka is presumably playing Eridrion. This is the first time in a while that Hachisuka has played such a manly character if we discount small roles like the Wolf Zyuman.

Hideaki Kusaka (long time ranger and primary robo suit actor) is also probably portraying Xiao Longbao. It'll be great to see him do another ranger after so long. Aside from the anomaly that is Kyoryu Gray, his last major ranger suit role was in Boukenger as Bouken Silver.

Yohei Fujita was presumably this weeks MotW and the enemy robo. He's become increasing higher billed in the last two years after last year's stint as Tousai Zyuoh, so good for him.

Along with 2tom Kitagawa, another old timer who's always filling in for small roles, we can also see Yuuji Nakata as one of the Indevars this week. Nakata previously played Aoninger and Zyuoh Elephant. Perhaps he'll be coming back as a ranger later or maybe he's just contributing to other parts? Either way, I'm glad he's still involved in the show.

What I find inherently amusing is that Viewtiful Joe 2 had mooks patterned after that, so it wound up being prescient since it was a tribute to toku.

Honestly, I don't even mind Lucky that much. He is actually pretty decent at acting to the point that the random catchphrase shouting doesn't look grating to the point of ruining the watching (like Takaharu, for example).

The one thing I fucking can't stand is those toy sounds, though. They are the worst.

I thought Go-Busters's sound things worked the best, since the sounds only really came out at dramatic moments. If you heard "IT'S TIME FOR BUSTER" you knew shit was about to go down.

I thought they had toned this down with Zyuohger, but Kyuranger has sounds at literally every little thing they do.

That's the thing: OOO is one of my favorite KR series' ever and I actually love the belt. However, it started the precedent of KR belts having really loud, vocal jingles, regardless of tone.

Kyoryuger is my favorite season between Go-Busters and Kyuranger.

Kyoryuger's sounds weren't that annoying because they kinda fit with the series's tone, and the sound itself was kinda unique. But hearing "GALAXY!" at every sword move is annoying like fuck and "SAY THE CHANGE!" is the lamest henshin sound ever.

I agree, but I still really hope they are playing with our expectations of that and he actually did kill the guy. Perhaps because of a different misunderstanding, like he was tricked into thinking the guy was someone else and we don't find that out until way later.
